How do you say goodbye to an animal friend? The other day we found "Green" in his cage cuddled in the corner. He got too cold... So sad!! What will "Blue" do now?? "Blue" is the other bird Tate's Grandpa Wendell gave him 4 years ago.. Even the cat knew something was up. He was lying by the cage looking into it when we found "Green"..
Tate took it very well.. When I told him that one of his birds had gone to heaven he said, "Now JaCee will have a bird in heaven to play with"..
We buried Green in the backyard and marked his "grave" with a little bird statue. Tate put some flowers on the ground and said, "Now we will visit you here, instead of in the house".. I think he will handle these kinds of things better than I ever will..
Bye "Green" you and your little chirps will be missed greatly.

Whenever we hear "buy green" it will have a different connotation now! Tate I am so sorry to hear about your sweet little friend. Blue will need you to visit with him a little more now. You are a good boy to know your sister gets to share your pets with you now to.

Tate, I am so sorry about Green! You are an amazingly strong boy and understand things well beyond your years.
oh thats so sad! Our little Hamster Jerry died a couple weeks ago its amazing how attached kids get to their pets My little Dallon just sobbed and sobbed! Tate seems like a very sweet and understanding little guy! So sorry little guy!

Our cat died two years ago and Madelyn was the one to discover it. I felt so bad for her because she was really attached. I made her a little scrapbook of pictures of her with Jasmine and she loved it. We also got balloons to send up to heaven to be with her. It seemed to help her alot.
